In 2014, he completed an internship at EvoLogics GmbH (Berlin, Germany), where he got acquainted with the organization of work of a high-tech commercial company, the latest technologies and participated in the development of underwater acoustic communication and positioning systems, bionics and autonomous hydrographic research facilities.

From 2015 to the present, he has been working at the Institute of Natural and Technical Systems as a Scientific Secretary and part-time head of the laboratory of Landfill Environmental Monitoring Systems.

A.N. Grekov was the head of the 1st expedition in the Black Sea voyage to search for submarine sources (2014), the head of the hydrology detachment in the 64th voyage of the Donuzlav GS (July 2016), the head of the hydrology detachment in two expeditions to study the shelf zone of the Black Sea (August – November 2016).

A.N. Grekov is engaged in educational activities. Since 2015, he has been working as an associate professor at the Department of Information Technology and Computer Systems at Sevastopol State University. From 2015 to the present, he has been the Chairman of the State Examination Commission at Sevastopol State University.

A.N. Grekov is actively engaged in public activities. From 2008 to 2014 he was Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Marine Hydrophysical Institute. Since 2016, he has been acting as Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at the Institute of Natural and Technical Systems.

A.N. Grekov is a member of the Sevastopol city branch of the NGO “Russian Geographical Society”.

A.N. Grekov, as a performer, participated in the RFBR grant “Development of scientific and methodological foundations for the search for submarine sources by towed-sounding complexes being developed” (2014), head of Research “Scientific Foundations for the development of methods, technologies and Research Tools in Rivers, seas and Oceans” under the program of the Federal Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016).

In 2017, A.N. Grekov became a semi-finalist of the All-Russian management Competition “Leaders of Russia”.

Currently, the area of scientific interests of A.N. Grekov lies in the development of new methods, tools and measuring information technologies for the study of natural waters.

Main scientific results: A.N. Grekov obtained a new equation for calculating the density and salinity of seawater by measuring the speed of sound, temperature, pressure both for the oceanographic range and for anomalous zones of the oceans, he developed methods for measuring the speed of sea currents using navigation systems on coarse sensitive elements.

A.N. Grekov is the author of more than 80 scientific publications and 6 patents.

A.N. Grekov speaks English and, to varying degrees, Ukrainian and German.
