What is Dimensions?

Dimensions is a scientific information platform that provides free access to more than 860 million citations and 9 million open source articles, 124 million documents, 3.6 million grants, 86 million articles and books, and 34 million patents.

“The Dimensions project is a timely response to the long-overdue request of the research industry for the most complete, inclusive information platform for deep foresight analysis of scientific and technological trends,” said Igor Osipov, CEO of Digital Science Russia/CIS and Vice President of Digital Science holding in Europe, the middle East and Central Asia.

Access to this information is free, but the platform also has an Analytics add-on that organizations and users can access for a modest fee.

The platform was created by the global company Digital Science, which opened a subsidiary in Russia, in cooperation with its six portfolio companies: Altmetric, Digital Science Consultancy, Figshare, Readcube, Symplectic and ÜberResearch — and with the expert participation of more than a hundred universities and research funds from around the world.

Among the Russian partners are the Russian science Foundation, innovation promotion Foundation, Ranepa, ITMO University, southern, Ural, Kazan and far Eastern Federal universities, experts of the Russian venture company and others.
