It is designed to measure the continuous temperature profile in aquatic environments from the shore, coastal structures and various carriers and watercraft in autonomous or telemetric modes.
A distinctive feature of the device is the principle of measuring the temperature profile, based on the decomposition of the profile function in a series of Walsh functions, which reduces the error of spatial sampling and eliminates the need for scanning by a probe.

Algorithmically, the software of the thermoprophilemers provides for the processing of measurement data on a PC in real time and in post-processing mode with the representation of data in the form of instantaneous temperature profiles, the course of temperature over time in all areas of spatial resolution in the form of a gradient and temperature isolines. In the autonomous operation mode of the device – archiving and transmission of measurement data via the Internet and via communication channels.
